The need
"Bopinc is looking for a dynamic Program Manager who can lead our team in Africa's largest agribusiness incubator program: 2SCALE. Become part of our global innovation center and work in close collaboration with a renowned international development player to deliver impact. You'll be working from farm to fork and focus on driving innovation, marketing and distribution tactics to make nutritious foods available for low income consumers in East and West Africa."
Since the end of 2012, we have been implementing the 2SCALE program, currently together with our program partners IFDC and SNV. 2SCALE is one of the largest agribusiness incubators in Africa, working with SMEs, farmer groups and multinationals in 8 different countries across Sub-Saharan Africa. 2SCALE builds inclusive agribusiness networks that connect farmers, buyers and intermediaries, enabling them to create and grow new businesses, through providing technical assistance and brokering partnerships with financial institutions and business support services. The program is expected to move into an extension and consolidation phase (until end 2026), which stronger transfer to local institutions.
Bopinc’s role in 2SCALE, next to being jointly responsible for the overall success of the program, is to ensure that together with the private sector partners and other stakeholders in 2SCALE, we accomplish one of the key performance indicators; to improve the access to nutritious foods for BoP consumers. We do this through developing and implementing effective marketing and distribution strategies with these private sector actors. Next to that, Bopinc needs to ensure that other business focused actors will be enabled and capacitated to provide similar business support in the future.
To lead Bopinc’s involvement in the 2SCALE program, we are looking to expand our team with a Program Manager, based preferably in Nigeria, Ethiopia or Kenya.
